Neighborhood Safety Tip

Put your car keys beside your bed at night. If you hear a noise outside your home or someone trying to get in your house, just press the panic button for your car. The alarm will be set off, and the horn will continue to sound until either you turn it off or the car battery dies.

Recent Email Reporting Robbery

Several residents have reported getting emails about a crime with a specific pattern; women return home from shopping, pull up in the driveway, a car pulls up to ask directions and then a robbery occurs.

You may have received the email indicating that the last robbery was in Collierville. It was not. To date, this has not happened here, although we certainly are not immune to this type of crime

We should learn from incidents in Memphis and Germantown that we should be alert when going to our cars, alert to those who may follow, wary when approached and always call the police if you are being followed or watched.

If you have questions concerning an incident, the Collierville Police welcome your concerns. As I work with Neighborhood Watch, you may email me or Lt.Dixon, Special Operations and we will try and assist you with updated information. We appreciate your efforts to prevent crime in your area.
