Almadale Farms' 2004 4th of
July Parade
Many thanks to Gayla Arvin and all those who helped organize the parade. It was quite a success considering
the storm that delayed the event for a bit. Everyone enjoyed the celebration, which ended at the pool with yummy popsicles!

A Time
to Share Our Blessings with Those in Need

Almadale
Farms Neighbors once again
adopted a family through the Big Brothers / Big Sisters Organization (BBBS). I was proud to accept an award from BBBS on behalf
of Almadale Farms for their outstanding support of their Christmas Program; it is hanging in the Clubhouse. This is a wonderful
organization trying to make a difference in the lives of single parent/guardianship families in the Memphis area by matching
mentors/role models with young adults. The Christmas program is something they do on the side because they are constantly
presented with families in need. This year, as in years past we were able to deliver to our families and saw first hand how
much this act of kindness means.
Click here to see more pictures and read the story of how Almadale Farms, together with BBBS helped make a family's
wish come true.

This Christmas, we adopted
the Loutzenheimer family. Alex, 11 and 10 year old twins
Coriey and Brittany had a wish list for what would make a wonderful Christmas for their whole family.

Commercial
Appeal Article Features Almadale Farms Residents
October 9th, the CA ran an article that featured Rene Platten and her family and the wonderful involvement
neighborhood residents share with the Big Brother/Big Sister of Greater Memphis. This is the third Christmas season that our neighborhood will be adopting a
family and helping to make their Christmas dreams come true. Rene will let us know about this year's family next month. We'll
learn about their specific needs and once again, share a little happiness. Check back here for details.
